The Bridge

Last weekend at the playground, this little girl did something that seems pretty amazing to me even in its simplicity.  Perhaps it is so amazing because of its simplicity?
We were running around and playing on the playground when Leah ended up on the other side of a shaking bridge.  The ones that are hung on by chains and sway with the wind.  Honestly, I would have stopped her if I could have.  I would have held her hand if I could've super jumped to the ground.  But there was nothing I could really do but watch in amazement, hold my breath and take pictures.

She never ceases to amaze me.  I guess this is the first of many activities that I am going to have to watch her shake just a little bit, but make it all the way to the finish!  Visit My Chaos My Bliss and Keeping up with the Shultz family for more Friday fun!

  2. Yay for her! My son used to be afraid of those bridges. One day he just did it. It's scary to watch as a mom but it's good to watch them overcome those fears.

  3. How cute! I still have a hard time balancing between trying to rescue my children and letting them learn some things on their own! You did good by letting her try it! She did something big!!

There will be a lot more of these moments in her life. It's hard to stand back and watch but it's so worth it too!!
