We were running around and playing on the playground when Leah ended up on the other side of a shaking bridge. The ones that are hung on by chains and sway with the wind. Honestly, I would have stopped her if I could have. I would have held her hand if I could've super jumped to the ground. But there was nothing I could really do but watch in amazement, hold my breath and take pictures.
She never ceases to amaze me. I guess this is the first of many activities that I am going to have to watch her shake just a little bit, but make it all the way to the finish! Visit My Chaos My Bliss and Keeping up with the Shultz family for more Friday fun!

awww!!! Yeah sometimes we just have to sit back and let them do it on their own :) (as much as I am a helicopter mom im trying not to be so much)
ReplyDeleteYay for her! My son used to be afraid of those bridges. One day he just did it. It's scary to watch as a mom but it's good to watch them overcome those fears.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I still have a hard time balancing between trying to rescue my children and letting them learn some things on their own! You did good by letting her try it! She did something big!!

First of all, I LOVE that close up shot of her. Those eyes!!
ReplyDeleteThere will be a lot more of these moments in her life. It's hard to stand back and watch but it's so worth it too!!
I love the 3rd picture it reminds me of my life and taking leaps of faith when I can see the end in sight but I still show fear of what is to come. Precious pictures!
ReplyDeleteMy kids are growing faster than I think. And it's moments like the one you captured that makes me realize it!
ReplyDeleteYou must have been sooo freakin' proud!
ReplyDeletePretty tricky! Little unsteady steps lead to strong confident ones.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! It's funny how little fear kids have.
