Victory Flight

The small Cessna 172 picked up speed as it roared down the runway, Sara at the controls, the flight instructor beside her.

She squealed in excitement as the wheels left the ground.  The flight instructor was speaking about the basics of controlling the plane, but her thoughts kept creeping back to him.  That man and his absurd rules.  Her blood boiled for a second, but she shook her head to rid those thoughts.

He no longer had control over her. She was experiencing freedom like never before by sitting in the driver’s seat of this old plane.

It had been a long battle, a long struggle, but now it was her time to live.  She was celebrating her victory in the sky.

This is from Jenny Matlock's Saturday Centus ... super fun!  You should play too!

  6. Excellent entry Christy! I love Jenny but I have resisted this meme due to the 100 word limit. Lord knows I have too many words. Just not sure I could do it. I may try one of these days.
