She squealed in excitement as the wheels left the ground. The flight instructor was speaking about the basics of controlling the plane, but her thoughts kept creeping back to him. That man and his absurd rules. Her blood boiled for a second, but she shook her head to rid those thoughts.
He no longer had control over her. She was experiencing freedom like never before by sitting in the driver’s seat of this old plane.
It had been a long battle, a long struggle, but now it was her time to live. She was celebrating her victory in the sky.
