Gum Expires?
It's time again for Fragmented Fridays hosted by Mrs. Fours. This is the time where you can throw in those little fun thoughts that aren't really enough large enough for a whole post. Kinda like Twitter for your blog (without the word limit).
--Did you know gum has an expiration date? Should I be concerned that my gum I bought last Sunday says "29 DEC 09"...?
--Is it un-American of me that I am so happy that Joannie Rochette from Canada won the bronze!?! What an amazing thing to accomplish after her mom suprisingly pass away. Ok, I can't dwell on this story too much or I'll start crying, lol
--My parents are coming this weekend to see the girls! Yay, super excited! I love having someone come take care of my children to give me some time off...oh I mean I love seeing my parents...yeah that too :-p
--What makes Girl Scout cookies so good? For real, what do they add that just makes them a bit better than any other cookie? Oh, another random story..walking into Sam's and they are selling Girl Scout cookies outside. We hear this lady say "I remember when you could buy Girl Scout cookies for a dollar." in a very snotty voice. And she says it to these cute little girls as a reason why she will not buy cookies from them! Who cares that you remember that? Good for you, but times change, stuff costs more, dude, get over it...
--I've decieded to add a new rule to our house...Only 1 kid can cry / scream / throw a tantrum / whine at a time. Ok, were good now?

--We are having our first monthly date night Saturday night! We are going to see Greg Giraldo at the comedy club. I am so super excited. I love stand-up comedy, but I have never been to a comedy club. Time to change that! Wanna watch one of his bits? Check it out here...*disclaimer, all humor is different and mine his is more R rated than yours may be, so proceed with caution*
--I've decieded to add a new rule to our house...Only 1 kid can cry / scream / throw a tantrum / whine at a time. Ok, were good now?
yeah...that's what I thought...
*Update* This just happened and it makes me laugh, so I had to include it here, lol!
I called my boss a "dork". My boss comes over by my desk while I'm at the benchtop. I walk over and he's looking at the picture on my desktop...which is this:
Eric: "That's a large dinner dish."
Me: "That's a baptismal font, you dork."
Eric: "Did you just call me a dork?"
Me: "Uhhhhh, yeah...."
hahahaha, it just kinda came out. But I mean really, what kinda question is that? Even if your not Christian or not go to church (he isn't) but does that look like you're dining room?
Getting to know you...Getting to know me...
Happy Friday yall! Its time for 5 Question Friday! Wanna play? (and you know you do) Go visit Mama M's blog, copy and answer the questions, then link up with her blog hop and visit other people!
1. Do you sing karaoke? If so, what is your go to song?
hahahaha, no. I sang karaoke once and that was one time too many. I'm even nervous when I have to be the singer on Rock Band. Although, I'm sure with a bit of liquid courage, I could be pursuaded to sing karaoke, lol!
2. What is your favorite coffee drink?
all of them! ok, for real...anything peppermint! Peppermint Mocha, White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha with whipped cream, Peppermint Latte, even just add peppermint flavoring to brewed coffee. Ugh, now I really want a latte and all I have is this crappy brewed coffee with powerded creamer added to it. At least its free, lol!
3. If you could choose your own name, what would it be?
Oh, I'm going to be so corny on this one. I absolutely love my name! My name is Christy Anne. That is how it is on my birth certificate (no its not short for Christina). Christy means believer in Christ. I love that! Anne is my maternal grandmother's name (who passed away when my mom was young), my mom's middle name, my middle name and my second daughter's middle name.
4. Were you ever bullied?
No...I'm too sweet (big grin) or shy one of those two...
5. How often do you eat fast food?
I plead the fifth? I don't really eat fast food, but I'm really bad about stopping by and getting a snack or picking up a drink or breakfast.
Come play, comment, follow with Friday Follow, whatevah but have a wonderful weekend!

F is for the Fourth of July
I'm playing along with Alaphabet Thursday hosted by Jenny Matlock! This is my [f]irst week, but it won't be my last.
is for the Fourth of July...in pink! This is our July 4, 2009. No, I didn't dress my child up in a cute little red, white and blue outfit. I mean, she was one, and tired, and going to see fireworks was a last second desicion. So, she wore cute little pjs.
The weather was horrible. This is the day I stopped believing in meterologists, well at least in Nashville. There was a storm coming, so they moved the fireworks up an hour. We ventured downtown to watch the fireworks before the storm started. The storm came about 5 minutes into the show. Leah and I ran back to the car, but stubborn little Andrew said 'It's not too bad. I want to watch the fireworks.' The rain really came down, and he was so wet he could ring the water from his shirt. So, F the meterologists, F the rain, and F July 4, 2009. But...
I wanna win!
I've decided to make my own theme day! I am going to feature giveaways on blogs that I would like to win, and I think you would like to win too. I'm calling it "I Wanna Win Wednesday!" I'm working on a button for it too...just figured out how to do that today! If anyone would like there giveaway featured here I would love to! Also, if anyone would like me to review and giveaway anything, I would love to help there as well! Wanna host your own "I wanna Win Wednesday!"? Just take my button and link back to me! It'd be cool if you told me about it too. Ok, now on to the giveaways!

Auburn Pictures
I found these pictures saved on my hard drive. I took them in 2004 when I was a student at Auburn University in Auburn, AL. Some were decent and I framed them into a collage for my parents that year. These pretty much sucked in color (I think). So, I took out the color and tried to make them seem 'antiquey'. I think they look better this way. What do you think?

Musical Monday - Upcoming Star
For today's edition of Musical Mondays, I am premiering the newest upcoming star destined to steal the heart of every person!
Oh, and please ignore the mess in my house. I cleaned it up yesterday. Seriously I did! I feel so much better when I have a clean house, sigh, too bad it only happens like once a week.
Here she is singing and playing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
and also the "I love you" song...yes its from Barney...no we don't watch Barney, I just taught her the song :-)

And one day when she is all rich and famous, I'm sure she will remember her poor little mommy and daddy and shower them with houses and cars. hahahaha.
Happy Monday! A monday is always better with a song in your heart! :-)

My Question was picked!
Holy Moly, imagine my suprise and excitment to see that my question was picked to be featured in Mama M's 5 Question Friday! Wow! Ok, ok, I'm a dork. I know it, you don't have to tell me, but if it makes you wanna comment, then go right for it! And now, onto the fun!
2. When you see a string on your clothes do you pull it off or cut if off?
**my question, my question, lookey lookey that's my question! see what I meant when I said smart and thought provoking?**
I pull the strings off. It could be like the most expensive shirt that I own, and my brain says 'oo a string...pull' 'oh crap, now the hem is gone' And I'm weaker than I imagine myself to be, so I end up with like this 3 feet long string that start as an inch. oops, lol
3. Did you have your own room or share a room when you were young?
I had my own room, but I did share a bathroom with my sister. It was one of those Jack and Jane bathrooms that connected our two bedrooms together. Oh, the stories I could write about that bathroom, lol! And each door had a lock on it, which made it really easy to lock my sister out of the bathroom, and the same for her to lock me out. Did I mention she took like an hour long shower? Did I mention she locked me out even when she did her makeup because it fogged up the mirror when I showered? Sharing a bathroom was bad enough...
4. Would you rather wear the same thing for the rest of your life or eat the same thing for the rest of your life?
I would totally rather wear the same thing. I get tired of eating the same food, but I don't think I have ever gotten tired of a sweatshirt and sweatpants. And they would totally be the frumpy, ratty, comfy clothes!
Can I change undies though?
5. What was your favorite TV show as a child?
Rainbow Bright, My Little Pony and Captain Planet! I can still sing most of the theme song for Captain Planet too...
Now go answer your questions, link up and leave me a comment!
Wanna play too?!?! Visit Mama M, copy her questions and get to answering them! Oh, and wanna be cool like me and have a question featured?!?! Well first you gotta come up with an extremely smart, thought provoking question (hahahaha) and submit it here. Easy Peasy!
1. Have you ever hit an animal with your vehicle?
Not a live one. I think I have the worst hand-eye coordination though, because when I see something in the road that I would like to swerve to miss, I end up hitting it. And if I had not tried to move, I would have missed it. So, in that regards I've hit a few chipmuncks, squirrels and unrecognizable masses of tissue and blood. and tons of potholes...now I just don't even try to miss stuff in the road.2. When you see a string on your clothes do you pull it off or cut if off?
